PG64-22

Performance Grade (“PG’S”) asphalts have been developed to be resistant to wide temperature ranges.  This PG is used primarily in the base course of roads or on the surface in low traffic and/or light loads.  The Texas Department of Transportation lists the typical use of this material is for Hot-mixed, hot-laid asphalt mixtures and tack coating under Table 18, paragraph 300.4. page 214 in the 2004 State Handbook.
